I had to dig really hard to even pull one star for this outfit. Although they have some nice vehicles and you can find pretty much what you are looking for online. I found a vehicle in another state, and had an associate in that city look at it for me. Made arrangements to hold vehicle, which they forgot to do, and I am glad I called to check on it. Anyway paid to have it shipped. Told me it would be 4 or 5 days, it was 12 or 13. When it arrived, it had major scratches in the door, so they try to buff out and ended up burning the paint so that both passenger side doors had to be painted. In addition, a body part fell off the car, (headlight washer door) and on inspection I found that there were 5 clips that hold the inner fender well were missing.
My vehicle is in the shop as we speak. They tell me it will be ready tomorrow. I will be checking these repairs very closely as I have issues with trust at this point. Most disturbing is that I did not like the tires that were on the vehicle. Very bad reviews for wet road conditions and it rains a lot in Florida. I asked if they could do a tire swap and was told that my Florida contact would do that for me. My Florida contact said he did it himself when he bought a car so not a problem. Agreement was made I select tires, (I got this in writing) which I did and was told they would be sold to me at cost, mounted and balanced at no charge. In question are the tires they removed, which although an off brand were brand new and told they would be returned to me. I am now being told they were disposed of and I am having a really hard time believing that.
I have asked for compensation because the car is titled to me and the tires also belong to me. I was told in other terms to go pound sand. This brings me back to my opening warning to get EVERYTHING in writing when dealing with CARMAX because they seem to forget things they tell you, and are only focused on making a sale. I am sure that I will get stiffed on the tires and they went out the door on somebody's arm at my expense. This will be my last experience at CARMAX for sure.

I purchased a 2010 Nissan Titan from the Carmax Store in Hoover Alabama. I want to say that the entire experience was wonderful. Speedy closing process and easy financing. From day one the company has supplied excellent service. I recently traded the truck to purchase a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. Had I not gotten such a good deal elsewhere I most certainly would have used CarMax again to make my purchase. Additionally their extended warranty worked great, never ran into any problems getting them to fix my truck.

I truly hate having to give a negative review on any one Company but this one Company (Carmax) really seriously deserves it. To begin my journey at Carmax on the first day ever when I first walked in, I test drove 5 cars I was interested in. Out of the 5 cars I drove that day, 4 cars were in need of desperate repair. One car would not start even when jumped by the salesman. This car was a 2018 Lincoln Navigator priced at $34,500 and would not even make a sound when being jumped. The second car that I test drove was a 2018 GORGEOUS! Honda Accord. The car truly was stunning but the WORST was just about to let itself be known! The Automatic transmission was not engaging in third gear and we had to pull over and turn around and drive 10 miles per hour to get back to Carmax.
Well, to make a long story short. I did purchase a 2017 Limited Kia Sorento at $27,300 only because my Wife begged me to,,,, she said their Customer service was excellent (she was correct about that) but the cars they were selling were poorly selected by their buyers. The Kia Sorento has had more service than all of my cars put together in the past 28 years. Their SLOGAN in the commercials says "We buy cars,,, WE BUY ALL THE CARS" and they truly are not exaggerating,,, they buy any and ALL THE CARS, only If they can make $6000 to $9000 thousand dollars on one purchase from what I heard.
If you're thinking about Carmax as a possible choice, please look elsewhere or at least pay a license mechanic to inspect the car or truck your interested in from Carmax. Shop around and you'll notice that they are the HIGHEST priced dealership anywhere. To make matters worse, the HIGHEST priced and with the absolute worst mechanically conditioned automobiles around. Save yourself the HUGE expense and time of visiting repair garages time and time again to keep your Carmax purchase running!

After filing online application for a loan and getting approved 2 times confirming all was in order and all had to do was go to store, review the car, pay dep and take delivery. I did that only to be confronted by so called manager who was rude. Jason his name since 2009 at Carmax Doral and told now they want to switch to a new company and wanted 22% interest on a 2017 car.. I GUESS AS THE NAME IMPLIES PAY THE MAX AT CARMAX. Never again. Worst BAIT AND SWITCH LYING company ever/someone needs to suit them. I'm sure a class action against these tactics will yield multiple client. It's fraud to trick someone to come in on a promise then to try to switch them at the last minute. Did not work with me. Not to mention the car was $2000 more than others similar year and condition.

Carmax was able to clean the mess, replace the hood liner, and provide a loaner vehicle while they took care of the issue. It took a few days but it was during a holiday period. This is the second vehicle I purchase from them at the Sanford, FL location. I would go back but do my own quality control inspection after this experience.

I purchased a 2017 Honda Civic EX-T just after Christmas and with two weeks we almost ruined the engine. The store gave us the car with a loose engine oil cap. We have oil everywhere under the hood and it will require some cleaning. Thankfully the car still runs and we didn't drive it without oil once we noticed the leaks from where we were parking the car. Let's see if the store does the right thing in 1) replacing a part under the hood that is filthy with oil, 2) degreased everything under the hood, 3) address all the expenses related to this mishap. I've already been given the bad news by someone at the store that my insurance would not cover a loaner vehicle. It's my expectation that the store would own up to this quality control issue and get the car cleaned and restore, not to mention address the inconvenience this situation has caused; both in loss of time and money. I look forward to posting an update on how they respond to the situation.

I've purchased a TON of cars from Carmax... Dating back to 09. The experience used to be very positive. ALL the cars were clean, had no warning lights and the prices were competitive or better than the dealers in the local area. The sales people knew what they were selling and seemed to have your interest at heart and helped you find the right car as the received no commission on sales.
Flip forward 10 years and it's clear, profits have taken center stage of the Carmax model and not much of anything else! I recently visited both the Tampa and Clearwater (actually Largo) dealerships and was appalled at the lack of "giving a crap" from the staff. The cars were FILTHY inside and out (was never the case in the past). There was CLEAR evidence of vehicles with newly painted front and rear bumpers (some still had painters tape on them), and some with flat tires!
Carmax USED to be a company of high quality and saw to every detail. That being said, it was fine by me to spend a little more ($1-2k more) because you know you were buying an inspected, clean, quality product. Now, you get the filth, poor quality control, bad management and STILL the added cost comparative to local dealers and they don't care.
It's my guess that they now sell lower quality, filthy cars to people with bad credit! They have TONS of lenders that will sell to anyone (at 14, 20 and higher percentage) as that's now their new model. If you have poor credit and want a Jaguar, they'll take care of you. If you have good to great credit (or cash) want a quality used vehicle at a great price, RUN AWAY and look elsewhere (Try a local dealer or better yet, Autotrader)!

The person selling me the car was friendly, I give it that much. But I bought a 2007 Nissan Frontier from Carmax that I paid off at the time of sell and I also told him I wanted to get the MaxCare with it. I bought the truck and it only had 111350 miles on it and when I hit 112650 miles something went wrong and it quit running so I was lucky I was in a Walmart parking lot where I work and I called carmax on the gulf freeway where I bought the truck at and told them what had happened so they looked up when I bought the truck and told me I never purchased maxcare when I know I did and told me I was on my own. Carmax is just another glorified buy here pay here lot. I am going to have to get a lawyer and sue for the repairs I guess, I will never buy a car from carmax again and I tell everyone not to either

I purchased a 2011 Jeep Compass for my daughter from the newly opened CarMax in Kenner, LA in October 2019. After having the vehicle for 13 days, it broke down on the Interstate endangering the life of my daughter. The vehicle was returned to Carmax (and I was provided a loaner vehicle), and CarMax had the vehicle in their possession for 3 weeks before being repaired. Once the vehicle was "repaired to their standards", I took back the vehicle and after 8 days, it again broke down and as inoperable.
I attempted on several occasions to speak with the General Manager of the store, Sharon **, however, she never returned my telephone calls, refused to meet with me or schedule an appointment at the store, and never responded to my messages. The service department manager "Jimmy", offered to take back the vehicle for a full refund, however, reneged on the offer once the vehicle was able to be towed back to the facility. In the meantime between the vehicle breaking down and being towed back to CarMax, I reached out the general manager by her cell phone and letter. Again, no response and the only response was from corporate FedExing me a letter advising that if I entered CarMax property I would be arrested (see attached letter).
The general manager stated that she felt threatened that I contacted her personally. I can assure you that all communication I have had with carmax and their employees has been professional. Yes, I did contact her personally but in no way obtained her information illegally as that is what I was told. I was receiving no response from her so I kept reaching out any way I could to have her cooperate and communicate with me to address the situation involving a vehicle I purchased being broken down and inoperable twice in the short time after it was purchased.
Sure enough, I returned the broken down vehicle and CarMax called the police and refused to fix my vehicle and told me I was trespassing and my vehicle needing repair was also trespassing. They stated "we retain the right not to do business with whom we please". They informed me by letter that any repair would have to be done by a 3rd party mechanic and carmax would pay for the repair. Well guess what happened next, I had the vehicle repaired (is currently being repaired) by a 3rd party mechanic and carmax is refusing to pay for the damages. The mechanic reached out to CarMax per the instruction by letter, and CarMax Kenner is refusing to repair, refusing to fix the vehicle themselves or have a 3rd party repair. I purchased the vehicle approx. 60 days ago and it has been inoperable for about half the time.
CarMax is responsible for the repair per the purchase agreement of the vehicle and warranty offered by carmax at the time of purchase and as stated in the legal letter I received from Maggie ** (who also will not return my calls and cooperate). Just because I contacted the manager personally does not negate the company's potential liability. This is my daughter's vehicle. It has been in the shop and inoperable longer than I have had it and now customer service is refusing to speak with me on the phone, again telling me they have the right to do business with whom they please.
I can assure you that I am a professional and treat other the same and expect the same in return. I am absolutely no threat to anyone nor have I ever displayed such behavior. I only want what carmax offered and that is full repair of the vehicle 90 days from the time of purchase. Customer Care is now refusing to speak with me. Please advise if legal representation is my only way to resolve this matter and have the vehicle repaired, or will someone contact me directly and approve the repair of the vehicle. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and I truly appreciate any advice on how to handle this situation moving forward.

I came in to get an appraisal and received an offer of $5500. We didn't have our new car purchase complete so I let the offer elapse. Less than a week and half later I went in and was told I had to get a new appraisal and this time it was $3500. No changes to car, only 50 additional miles, and $2000 drop in estimate. I was given a story about market conditions, yada yada. But this was a scam in my opinion. I will never do business with Carmax again!

I spent $70k on a used Toyota LandCruiser. It had some visual paint defects, upholstery issues, and a small dent. The sales associate assured me it would be fixed by the service dept... "just bring it back when you are ready." Fast forward 8 months or so, and I bring it in to be fixed. Unfortunately the fine print says they won't honor the repairs since it was past 90 days....the "policy." I clearly made a mistake and didn't follow up in time, but the customer service was poor and unapologetic. If you are looking for a sterile sales environment where they won't do the right thing and honor their commitments, then CarMax is the place for you. If you want to buy from a corporation that follows their policies over customer satisfaction, then again, CarMax is the place for you. My experience was at CarMax Charlotte on Independence boulevard. I will never purchase from them again.

Ok let's start out with I'm a bad at grammar so work with me. I found a truck at CarMax that I was interested in, so I get it shipped and drive a hour and half to go check it over. Well we go check it out discuss the money end of it make a deal and arrangements to come back in a week with the funds. Well fast forward my wife calls to let them know we will be arriving when we agreed just to find out the truck has been shipped out and sold. That should of been the dead giveaway to run away. Hey things happen right. I've only wasted 3 hours one day in just drive time alone. No big deal. Well they find another truck that fits the bill and have it shipped in on there fine. I'm not sure how that's supposed to help me since they have already messed up once but hey I'll take what I can get.
So this truck comes in. Money is all into play. I bring my checkbook. All the things they need. Well bad news. They won't take that type of check and they can only run debit cards and all the banks are closed, and mind you I found out my child was getting sicks 2 mins before I pulled in because she threw up in my car. Oh well. It's called being a parent. Well needless to say that was another wasted trip only to be told that they will hold the truck for 7 more days 'til I could get them the proper check or cash or a approved card they like. I think I'm good on all those notes and gonna cut my losses and not deal with CarMax any furthers. I already have 6 hours of drive time 3 throw ups and a few hours of dealing with "I'm sorry this hasn't worked out, but we won't bend or help in any way besides take your money and act like we're your friend." Just imagine buying a vehicle from them and it going bad. CarMax is like the Walmart of used cars.

I purchased a vehicle and an hour into driving off the lot, noticed major issues with the vehicle. It was shaking and stalling. Since then, the vehicle has been in the repair shop almost 15 times. I asked for a replacement or refund and Carmax refused. I am still having issues with the vehicle and recently determined the repairs Carmax made were done incorrectly. Never buy a car from this oversized pot lot.

I paid off my car in August 2019. Up until that time, my experience had been great. I moved to Austin while still making my payments early every month, and I updated my address. When it came time to receiving my title - nothing. I finally called them in October to see where it was. They told me that they mailed it to my old address where I had not been living for years. Then they told me they would send me a lien release so I could get a title. Why couldn't they just get another title? Anyway, it was supposed to take 2 weeks to get the lien release. Here it is November 19, and I still have no title, no lien release, and no help getting my title. I had to call them again and be subjected to another song and dance. Same lyrics, still no title.

They conned me into paying 50% more than the value of the vehicle. This lemon they suckered me into had a variety of problems from the get go. I reported them to Better Business Bureau but haven't heard back from them and I'm sure they are paid off by Carmax corporation to look the other way anyhow. Just a bunch of crooks and swindlers is all they are. I tell all my family and friends to never go there EVER!

Once again I am reminded of why you do not buy additional insurance when purchasing a car. My wife purchased a Kia Optima from CarMax in 2016 with MaxCare Auto Warranty. The transmission failed at 91000 miles and CarMax claimed it was not under warranty and that they could not fix it due to specialized parts. We had it towed to a Kia dealership where they confirmed it was out of warranty as we were not the original owners. $4200 later, the Kia is repaired. We take the Kia to CarMax to resell it back to them as our daughter has purchased a vehicle on her own. They give us a quote less than the cost of the new transmission when it is only 7 months later with an additional 1000 miles.
CarMax looks up our records and determined that we DO have a warranty and the repairs should have been covered. We submit a claim to MaxCare with all the paperwork and 3 weeks later are denied because we are not in the 30-day window since the repairs had been done. We understand that we should have known what the warranty process was per the contract. However, CarMax should have also known we had MaxCare as we purchased it from CarMax and then were told by CarMax that the vehicle was not under Warranty. So we are still out $4200 dollars on a valid claim. I know that I will never buy from CarMax again!!!

Went to CarMax on Sahara, Las Vegas, had a 2019 Chevy Equinox transferred from California with less than 1,000 miles. Had trade and all paperwork done to finally find out you can't buy the cars in Nevada with under 2500 miles. What a blow to us... Why didn't sales people know this before going through the whole process!!!!! Wife finally found another car in California. 2017 Nissan Altima. Had it transferred to Sahara CarMax. Car had to be cleaned up and new battery installed. This should have been a warning to us.
Completed paperwork to purchase. Got home to find miles was higher than advertised. Stated 24k and car had 28k+. Had to go back to "return" car and start all over. Then driving car, wife stated it doesn't drive or feel right. Found out that car had too small tires. They were regular 16" tires with goddy hub caps. Tire store stated this car as per info inside car door should have 18" tires & rims. WOW!!!!
I think the California dealership stripped this car of all SL qualities. Even this car should have mats inside that say Altima after doing some research. Complained to sales and manager but nothing happened. Really scared about this car and actions of CarMax or NO actions thereof... Really have to think about doing business with CarMax again especially after buying a few before but this car really left a bad taste.

I bought a car from Carmax in March of 2018. And I also purchased MaxCare. As of right now in October of 2019 I have used it twice. Received a free loaner vehicle, and had all $700 of my parts and labor covered! I paid nothing out of pocket both visits into the shop. Their plan is comprehensive and upfront. It's even refundable if needed. Definitely would recommend the dealer and their service plan!

My son bought a 2010 Toyota Corolla in March 2019! It had 63,000 miles on it! Everything was ok at first but the key fob stopped working about 2 months after he bought the car! So as a present for his birthday, since changing the battery wouldn't make it work we decided to buy a new one and have it programmed as a gift for his birthday which is October now! He went to Carmax when it stopped working and they tested it but wouldn't offer to do anything about it! While in the Fred Haas Toyota service department they did a mult-point inspection at no charge and found - it needed air filter, cabin filter, brakes cleaned and adjusted, A Oil Leak at the oil filter housing, and it needs a 2 year brake fluid exchanged! Now today they call us and can't get the new key fob to program which they have to investigate further which is more money!
We have never bought from Carmax before but I would think the used cars would be in better shape! In other words they would inspect them and make sure the cars were in good shape before they sale them like new air filters etc. Our son did get the extended warranty so we will investigate the oil problem! I trust this Fred Haas Toyota! We have used them for years! We also have a private mechanic! I did think when our son bought this car that 10,999 was a little high so I am so disappointed in Carmax!

This month I purchased a 2017 Cadillac X-T5 in red. My experience was extremely positive. In Laurel MD I met Mohammad who has worked with CarMax for 18 years. I've never had a smoother transfer from my 2010 to my newer model. There was never high pressure & their selling approach was top professional. CarMax even delivered a car with new tires. I waited just one week to have my car delivered from upstate New York. It was exactly what I was promised. I want to thank Mohammad & the entire CarFax team. I will be buying again from CarMax.

Applied online with a representative at Carmax in Houston Texas and was approved. Was told that I was approved for financing of $9,500 with $1,200 down. I asked to change the vehicle to one within the approval of financing and was told that the credit application would have to be resubmitted which don't make any sense because it was ran 5 min ago with the approval, I was just changing to a less expensive car. Then when the representative ran my credit again, per what she stated, it came back that I still needed $1,200 down. This is crazy because the finance company don't get that money. Carmax does.
The less expensive car would have provided 100% financing. Then I check my credit report and they only ran the credit once. SCAM. Just wanted money twice. Will not use them. Why can't they just run your credit and see what you are approved for then show you the cars in that range. Crooks. Just want to have that extra money. The down payment does nothing but put money in the dealer's pocket.

If price is not a factor this is a great dealership. If price is a factor then all cars are extremely overpriced and carmax will give you the least if you sell them your car (hassle free). I recommend to go to an auction or deal with private parties when buying a used vehicle. Carmax is a reputable place that will have some sort of warranty but in my opinion is better to pay that extra money to have a mechanic checking the car before buying and a repair shop giving it a second look after buying it. In most cases it is much cheaper.

I wouldn't recommend going to CarMax in Albany NY, the person we dealt with is Jacqueline. First night we went was for a test drive and did the credit application. We make an appointment to finish the deal for 10/09/19 at 4.00pm. She wasn't on time for our appt. She was at Dunkin donuts getting coffee. She finally showed up at 4:25. Then she told us that because I was the cosigner I would have to be on my son's insurance and be a registered owner. I went to speak to this young kid Lauren and Matt, down right rude. None of the people we dealt with had a clue. Extremely rude. Beware

In 2017 I went to CarMax dealer Sahara in Las Vegas NV, to look at cars. I liked the CLA 250. I drove it, then went inside and bought the car. My wife loved it as well, in 2019 I went back to trade the car. They run the vin # and it come out as the car had an accident in 2016!! And didn't make the trade cuz the car value is 16 and I owed 20 high interest from the start almost 10% very high. Anyways they sold me a car with no accident report then accident report pops up out of nowhere! Went back and forth with customer relations about it.
They basically said it wasn't their fault and they will not do anything about it in so many words!! So it was my first time and last time I go in to CarMax. Customers! My advice to you if you want a car with a possibility of having an accident history with the car you'll choose!? Be my guess walk in to car max and shoot your dice for good luck. OH BY THE WAY I WENT IN DESPITE OF ALL THE BAD REVIEWS I READ. I LEARNED MY LESSON... AGAIN GOOD LUCK.

I would like to inform you of the horrible customer service I received from the business manager at the Tallahassee location. I spoke with the office there to cancel my warranty. He was ok, but seemed unsure of the knowledge he was giving me, as if he were very new to the job. I then asked to speak to his manager so that I can just be sure that the information was indeed correct. The manager then get on the phone and immediately was irritated as if I interrupted his day. I asked him to verify the information that I had been given from the previous person and he gave me some very different info. He was very passive aggressive, condescending, rude and abrasive. He informed me that I will need to drive down to the office (after I told him several times that I live in GA not FL and it's a 4 hr drive) and fill out the paperwork.
I said that's was not be possible for me to do and he then said "well that's the only way we do it and there nothing I can do for you, soooo." I insisted that there must be a way around that since I live in another state. He Then became even more obnoxiously rude while stating "well that is the only way, we can't help" (several times, each time more rude than the last). I then simply asked him for his name, he said "Cliff". I asked for his last name, he said "I don't have to give you my last name" (with a nasty tone to say the very least). Then I said, "Well, ok, may I have you last initial," he said "no, I don't have to give you anything". Then I said, "Well with you being the business office manager you should be able to provide me with your office contact number."
At that point he said "LOOK, I'm not giving you any of my information, that's too personal, you not getting anything outta me!". I was beyond hurt and horribly offended by this. I felt he was the most unprofessional person I had encounter in my life and I have not even met him in person. I simply informed him that he would hear about this later and he hung up on me. He even then sent an e-mail to me with a picture of a written note (so that I could not get his information in the signature of the email). I will attach a picture of that in this email or a separate one. This was a very petty and childish move on his part and he is failing this team and Carmax as a whole with his actions. There in no telling the numbers of people he treats so poorly.
I truly feel sorry for any one who has to work with this person and a customer, employee or co-worker. There needs to be corrective action immediately. I had such a great experience with Carmax until this very moment. I have friends and family in the Tallahassee area who are looking to purchase and I definitely would not recommend them or even a stranger to that place. I will also be leaving a complaint on the BBB, Google and everywhere else I can to warn people about that "Cliff" person and to be ware of dealing with him. I am so sad to even have to take time out of my work day and type this long e-mail. But this is how upset I am and I will go out of my way to make sure this does not happen to any other customer.

CarMax and the public needs to hear this feedback. 1. They sold me a car with an odometer reading 500 miles more than the paperwork stated. That's not only illegal but shortened the 3000 mile warranty in their favor. 2. Inspection sticker said May, and I bought it in August. I was told this is against their own policy. 3. Within a week I noticed the wipers malfunctioned, the parking brake could not be engaged, and the A/C could not meet the challenge of a really hot day. 3. I took it in for repairs and they ran into trouble. They called me that day (a Friday) saying no manager was on duty and would they call me Monday to explain the unusual situation (they had accidentally deployed my airbags).
4. Hearing nothing, I called on Tuesday morning and was told no manager on duty until Wednesday. I drove there Tuesday after lunch and found an assistant manager in his office six feet away from the person who told me there would be none on duty. 5. After 13 days of being stonewalled, I asked for my money back. They had not fixed the car and they claimed their insurance company had taken the matters out their hands. 6. During that time I would call in for updates. Once I waited on hold so long I was able to drive there (20 minutes) still on hold. I handed the phone to the Service Manager standing in a room with 5 employees (none on the phone or with customers) and he said they were having trouble with their phone system. Like it was just another day at CarMax.
6. I called corporate headquarters demanding to speak to someone in senior management. That propelled me to the highest level I was able to get to in this 23-day saga. The local assistant store manager left me a message for me to call him back, but he left no extension so I was back to being on hold in a trouble phone system. When I finally reached him, I asked why he left no extension, and he said he didn't have one. When I asked why it took so long for him to reach out to me he apologized that he had been off for two days and the note from corporate sat on his desk while he was away. When I said, "no one covers your duties while he is on days off?" He said no, but typically they are not 2-days in a row. I guess consumers can wait.
7. All in all it took 23-days of this kind of runaround while they "partnered with the team" (their corporate lingo) to figure out how to make this right for me. All along the way I encountered systemic failures in their communications, policies and procedures. Even the last day (yesterday) they tried to get me to sign paperwork for me to certify a blank odometer reading and while signing power of attorney over to them on the title claim. And that I had received refund check (which will be snail mailed and arrive in 3-5 business days to my bank where i got the loan). How does a Fortune 500 company built on a no hassle brand sustain survive in this mode?

Over the years I had heard that Carmax was a trusted company that I could depend on, so when it came time to buy a car I went to them first. I was not ready to purchase a new vehicle and I was aware that they inspected their cars before offering them for sale. I went in and was shown several options and ended up setting on a Toyota Matrix. I had owned Toyotas and they were always dependable.
At signing I was notified that I would want to take care of the airbag recall after purchase, which I have done. Within a week of driving off the lot I notice the car had began to shake when braking. I scheduled an appointment with their service department and they examined the brake and told me nothing was wrong. I left for work unsatisfied and continued to drive the car and the shaking got so bad that it literally rattled my teeth. I went back in and had the same results. Nothing is wrong. They acted like I insane.
I wrote to corporate and never received a response. The 30 days lapsed and I was no longer covered by their warranty. I went to an independent garage and was told that all four drums were shot and that the front brakes needed replacing. I had this done, obviously for safety, and sent corporate another letter through their portal. Again nothing. I have sent a total of three letters to them informing them of my experience and if their lack of response is any indication, I can only assume that they do not care.
I would strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this company to reconsider. In my experience there is little to no difference between them and most other used car dealers out there. I am sure that most of the cars they sell are OK, but if you are one of the unlucky ones to get a car in the condition that I did, do not expect them to do the right thing.

I was sold a 2007 VW Passat Stationwagon. Less than 30 days after purchase the headliner dropped. I brought it back and I was that it is "Cosmetic" and they would not fix it. I was bamboozled with their "Extended" warranty... I will never do business with Carmax again
